History

Vinylizer's first show was Black is Black starting in April 1992 and was renamed to Back To The Basics (BTTB) in september 1992. In 1995 he wanted to celebrate the show number 50 with a special mix. He asked Boris Dlugosch, who was resident at Hamburg's famous club FRONT, the first place in Germany to play House music in the late 80s and a huge influence on The Vinylizer. Dlugosch did the mix playing old Chicago House classics. This was the first guest mix, so it was the first mix in the so-called X-Series, but at that time it was no series - just a birthday celebration.

One year later Vinylizer wanted to have another special mix and asked his all time heroes Pressure Drop. And that's when it all started - shortly after the Pressure Drop mix came mixes by Kruder & Dorfmeister, DJ Zinc and others.

And then he was asked to do a show for Evosonic radio - still without getting money, but famous all over Germany. He accepted it, and that's where he had the first weekly show plus a special slot for the BTTB-X-Series on a weekly basis.

Unfortunately Evosonic went bankrupt a few years later so BTTB became local for Hamburg again, but he started to do shows for more stations such as FSK, NDR, and others.

Now his show is on air Thursdays, 9pm CET, on ByteFM, a web radio station from Hamburg. In Hamburg it is also available on 91.7 FM. All Samples Cleared!? is on every 2nd Saturday, 12am CET, ByteFM. And then there are 5 shows on NDR Info per year.
