Vinylizer's first show was Black is Black starting in April 1992. Renamed to BTTB in september 1992. The station was a non-commerical station, the shows were numbered BTTB 001... In 1995 he wanted to celebrate the show number 50 with a special mix. He asked a few DJs and Boris Dlugosch did the mix playing old Chicago House classics. This was the first guest mix, so it was the first mix in the so-called X-Series, but at that time it was no series - just a birthday celebration. One year later Vinylizer wanted to have another special mix and asked my all time heroes Pressure Drop. And that's when it all started - shortly after the PD-mix came mixes by Kruder & Dorfmeister, DJ Zinc and others.

And then he was asked to do a show for Evosonic radio - still without getting money, but famous all over Germany. Of course he did it and that's where he had the first weekly show plus a special slot for the BTTB-X-Series on a weekly basis.

Unfortunately Evosonic went bankrupt a few years later (I think it was 1998 or 1999). So BTTB was local for Hamburg again, but he started to do shows for more stations: FSK (show numbers are F-xxx), NDR (N-xxx) and others.

And that's where we are now.

People keep asking about the numbering system. Here it is:

xxx = shows on Tide where I present new releases

F-xxx = shows on FSK where I present new releases

N-xxx = shows on NDR where I present new releases

X-xxx = X-Series: Mixes by guest djs. They sent these mixes by post.

XL-xxx = XL-Series: Mixes by guest djs LIVE in our studio

S-xxx = Soul <-> HipHop (shows on the subject of Sampling)

W-xxx = Wax Flowers

D-xxx = Documentations

A list of all guests can be found at www.vinylizer.net. The start site is in german, but nearly all subsites are lists only, so should be understandable in any language.
