The Essential Mix is a long running show on BBC Radio 1 in the UK. Hosted by Pete Tong with a different guest DJ/artist each week, it started in October 1993 and has aired virtually every Saturday night/Sunday morning since.
In October 2007, the show was moved to a new time slot of Saturday 03:00-05:00.
